The Tarot, the Vortex and Larvae

The Power 7 Power Crystal Set can be used to clear a particularly nasty spirit that resides in humans. Remarkably, the best references are found in Theosophical and Tarot books!

There is a fascinating correlation between those few authors who have written on Tarot and magic and the subject of Larvae. These authors are: Eliphas Lévi, The Key of the Mysteries; Mouni Sadhu, The Tarot; and Franz Bardon who wrote four books on Hermetic Tarot inspired by the first four Arcana. Neither Lévi, Sadhu or Bardon give practical information on how to properly deal with larvae, but the technology of consciousness based upon Projective Synthetic Geometry as found in the Book of Thoth held the key.

True Story

Several years ago while working on a magical operation exploring crystals with my colleagues, we came across the larvae in us. Despite knowing nothing about larvae, we found a way of dealing with the larvae successfully. The next day, a colleague handed me notes on the crystals and health, and in there was the instructions for removing larvae! My colleague had never read any of the above authors on Tarot, but he had discovered the larvae and the solution to dealing with them independently. With a crystal, energy levels rise so that the individual is powerful enough to defeat and kill the larvae.

The Vortex

The primary use of crystals is to boost energy levels and re-create the aura. Once the energy levels are boosted, the user is able to achieve psychic and spiritual actions not previously possible. Power crystals are charged with a a vortex or tourbillon in the occult literature. There is another fascinating parallel in that the authors who discuss the tourbillon also mention a parasite or larva that lives within us all. This parasite needs to be removed, but neither Eliphas Lévi nor Mouni Sadhu gives adequate instructions. It is as though the larva exists to ensure that the individual is totally unaware of the vortex, because if man has enough energy through the use of the vortex in the crystal, he can not only destroy the larva, but ensure he never gets re-infected.

Eliphas Lévi

In The Key of the Mysteries, translated by Aleister Crowley, Eliphas Lévi graphically discusses the nature of these larvae:

According to the constant tradition of ecstatics, the abortions of human life remaining swimming in the terrestrial atmosphere which they are unable to surmount, and which little by little absorbs them and drowns them. They have human form, but always lopped and imperfect; one lacks a hand, another an arm, this one is nothing but a torso, and that is a pale rolling head. They have been prevented from rising to Heaven by a wound received during human life, a moral wound which has caused a physical deformity, and through this wound, little by little, all of their existence leads away.

Soon their moral soul will be naked, and in order to hide its shame by making itself at all costs a new veil, it will be obliged to drag itself into outer darkness, and pass slowly through the dead sea, the slumbering waters of ancient chaos. These wounded souls are the larvae of the second formation of the embryo; they nourish their airy bodies with a vapour of shed blood, and they fear the point of the sword. Frequently they attach themselves to vicious men and live upon their lives, as the embryo lives in its mother's womb. In these circumstances, they are able to take the most horrible forms to represent the frenzied desires of those who nourish them, and it is these which appear under the figures of demons to the wretched operators of the nameless works of black magic.

These larvae fear the light, above all the light of the mind. A flash of intelligence is sufficient to destroy them as by a thunderbolt, and hurl them into that Dead Sea which one must not confuse with the the sea in Palestine, so-called.

As a final insight from Lévi, he quotes from a book, “Moeurs et Pratiques des Démons”:

“...he seems to divine the essence of the plastic medium or the fluidic body. 'We have certainly not two souls,' said he, 'but perhaps we have two bodies.' Everything that he says, in fact, would seem to prove this hypothesis. He saw a shepherd whose fluidic form haunted a Presbytery, and who was wounded at a distance by blows inflicted on his astral larva.”

Levi describes Fluidic Phantoms as:

Fluidic phantoms are the abortions of the vital light; they are plastic media without body and without spirit, born from the excesses of the spirit and the disorders of the body.

These wandering media may be attracted by certain degenerates who are fatally sympathetic to them, and who lend them at their own cost a factitious existence of a more or less durable kind.
The Key of the Mysteries

This last sentence is crucial. The larva impose a reality on the victim. Levi continues:

They then serve as supplementary instruments to the instinctive volitions of these degenerates: never to cure them, always to send them further astray, and to hallucinate them more and more.
The Key of the Mysteries

A living hell! Levi gives a graphic example of larvae:

The Jesuit, Paul Saufidius, who has written on the manners and customs of the Japanese, tells us a very remarkable story. A troop of Japanese pilgrims one day, as they were traversing a desert, saw coming towards them, a band of spectres whose number was equal to that of the pilgrims, and which walked at the same pace. These spectres, at first without shape, and like larvae, took on as they approached all the appearance of the human body. Soon they met the pilgrims, and mingled with them, gliding gently between their ranks. Then the Japanese saw themselves double, each phantom having become the perfect image and, as it were, the mirage of each pilgrim.
The Key of the Mysteries

Levi believed that the heat and exhaustion enabled the pilgrims to project the astral larvae out of their body, but it was not to last. The larvae merged back with their victims. At the end of the chapter Lévi describes the larvae from another perspective:

Human thought creates what it imagines; the phantoms of superstition project their deformities on the astral light, and live upon the same terrors which give them birth. That black giant which reaches its wings from east to west to hide the light from the world, that monster who devours souls, that frightful divinity from the world, that monster who the devil - is still, for a great multitude of children of all ages, a frightful reality. In our Transcendental Magic we represented him as the shadow of God, and in saying that, we still hid the half of our thought: God is light without shadow. The devil is only the shadow of the phantom of God!
The Key of the Mysteries

Mouni Sadhu

Mouni Sadhu develops the ideas of Lévi in his book The Tarot: A contemporary Course of the Quintessence of Hermetic Occultism. Published in 1962, Sadhu firmly ignores Aleister Crowley, while setting himself in the tradition of Lévi and Papus. Sadhu's book is not an easy read, and the modern tarot student is hampered by the asssociation of Aleph as card 1, relating to the Magus.

Larvae are first mentioned in Sadhu's commentary on the second card, the Priestess. He makes the statement that he is discussing the tarot, but then he talks about the larvae:

“Let us imagine that a man has a common evil desire, but makes no attempt to realize it on the physical plane. He only draws his dark desire on the astral plane, and so creates a kind of 'entity', by condensing the astral according to his intention. This artificial 'being' does not a physical body, but it is a kind of astrosome, and its correspondence to the human monad (spirit) is just the mental idea of the evil intention or wish. Such a being - according to the property of its 'monad' - can act and influence only in one direction as intended by its unwise creator, man, who is usually unaware of his foolishness.

Now, on whom will the influence of such a demon be exerted? Yes, firstly on the father of it himself, the draughtsman who created the astral picture of the evil deed. We will call this type of ominous artificial entity a larva. Such a larva will watch its 'father' in order to prevent him from forgetting his evil intentions and desire, and to fortify the larva's life by new meditations about the same theme. But it can also attach itself to another man, who has certain astral and mental affinity with the first one. We then say that a larva has left one man and fastened itself (like a leech) to another.

How can we free ourselves from such larvas, no matter whether our own or of foreign origin? I can recommend three means.

1. A conscious effort of the will in the form of a desire not to succumb to the evil entity, to defy it, to expel it, to act like a painter who looks with contempt on his own obscene creation.

2. To concentrate mentally on another object, and not to allow any thought about the larva to enter into the mind. Frequent thinking about the chosen object will cut the possibility of attending to the larva. Prayer is the best and most recommended means of this kind, because every prayer is an act of concentration, and every act of concentration can be considered a form of prayer, not matter if it is directed to God, man himself or even to the Devil, depending upon the nature of the concentration.

As the Devil, we understand, from the Tarot's point of view, a picture of Higher Origin deformed to the ultimate depths reached through the synthesis of all anarch and disorders.

This means of concentration may be compared to the method of turning away from an unwanted picture so as to contemplate another, more desirable one.

3. The use of the power of realization based upon the physical plane, that is the destruction of the larva with a magic sword, which consists of a metallic blade with an insulated hilt made from dry timber, ebonite or, nowadays, from plastic (a thick woollen glove will also serve the purpose). The action of the magic sword is based on the proximity of a sharp metallic projection that in the event of the sword entering a ganglion of a larva, it will bring about its full disintegration.

This means that larvas should be sought for in the aura of persons attacked by them, for they usually adhere to the astrosome of a man like a leech. This method is similar to the destruction of the whole of an obscene picture by the annihilation of the canvas on which it is painted.
The Tarot: A contemporary Course of the Quintessence of Hermetic Occultism

Sadhu also recommends the Trident of Paracelsus as “... especially useful against all kinds of larvas, created by enemies or even by man himself.”

The preferred method according to Sadhu is to stab the larva many times. He notes that the larvae cannot see humans, so they do little to escape, but they may 'see' the points of the trident or sword. However, larvae do feel the danger, so they may try to escape.

Sickness

Sadhu knows that not only are larvae visitors from other worlds, but he speculates that they are the cause of many forms of sickness:

As many larvas are only a condensation of evil thoughts and feelings, flowing through the infinite spaces of other worlds, they can even create physical sicknesses, if they attach themselves to your astrosome for some time, which, as we know, has exact counterparts in the physical body, in the form of ganglions, and so on. If an important part of the astrosom is damaged or weakened there will be a corresponding damage or an ailment for the physical body. Sometimes mysterious disorders are produced in the body's cells, without any visible contagion by bacteria. The fact the such cancers, which have enigmatic causes, are now becoming so rapidly widespread, might have its origin in the excess of evil human feelings, hatreds and other negative forces, put into play in the aura of our planet.

These things may create innumerable larvas and other kinds of undesirable forces, which later bring disorder to the work of human cells, resulting in malicious tumours and cancerous growths. In general, occultism ascribes disease to an astral origin or affection of the astrosome, later inevitably transferred to the physical body. Some even believe in the astral origins of bacteria which cause sickness and death.

Mental Sickness

According to Sadhu, mental sickness can be attributed to larvae:

According to its symptoms, mental sickness can often be compared to a continuous state of drunkenness, in its second phase as previously described. Impulses of a special character prevail in each insane person. They are related to the activity of certain nerve centres. Of course, such conditions can arise because of organic or functional disorders of the nervous system; but it is also possible to stimulate certain centres to the detriment of others from the point of view of astral factors. It is the astrosome, which created the body and which directs its manifestations. The spirit (mental) of man manifests itself only through that astrosome. Now, imagine that a foreign astral entity joins your astrosome and begins to rule the body together with its proper owner. We will then get abnormal manifestations in both the astral and physical activities of the man, often resulting in the impossibility of any mental functions, because the original astrosome has been paralysed by the intruder.

A strong larva belonging to the man himself, or coming from the outer world, can also join the man's astrosome. This will be an example of permanent incarnation for a larva, which usually means the appearances of a special type of offence peculiar to that larva which masters the insane person concerned.

Larvas, as all inferior astral entities, try to obtain life in matter much denser than their own, that is in the physical world. They have no moral qualities so they show no concern about the immense harm they bring to the hapless man they obsess. Such a little devil will first try to develop in man the ability of practising that offence or abnormality in full. When the body is exhausted, the larva usually tries to destroy it, in order to free itself for for further incarnations.

How Larvae enter the body

Sadhu describes the various methods of entrance for larvae:

When a man is passive enough and not sufficiently occupied with his body to defend it against the astral intruders. Larvas can easily enter the body of a sleeping man, as well as that of someone, who has been disappointed by life and who no longer sees any purpose in it. Men who practise some vice can also be victims of larvas which represent just the same vice. Then the astral monster comes as if invited.

Another elementar can easily enter and occupy the body of a man, who has exteriorized himself, consciously or unconsciously.

. Sometimes the astrosome which has been expelled by an intruder can return and remove the unwanted tenant. Then we have temporary insanity. But sometimes the astrosome cannot return, and then a foreign entity operates in the body resulting in constant insanity, or in the best possible case, an unfavourable change of personality, usually ending in a fairly quick destruction of the physical body.

If both of the astrosomes remain in one body, and fight each other, there will be periodical insanity.

Franz Bardon

In his book "Initiation into Hermetics", Franz Bardon (1909-1958) has his views on the subject:

Another kind of being is the larvae, which have been brought into life consciously or unconsciously, by intense sensorial thinking, through the astral matrix. They are not real beings, but only forms thriving on the passions of the animal world, on the lowest step of the astral level. Their instinct of self-preservation carries them into the sphere of those men whose passions are responsive to them. They will try, directly or indirectly, to raise and kindle the passions slumbering in man. If these forms are succeeding in seducing men to give in to their suitable passion, they are feeding and thriving on the emanation of this passion produced in man. Man laden with many passions will attract a host of such larvae in the lowest sphere of his astral plane. A great fight takes place and, in the problem of magic, this fact plays an important role.
Initiation into Hermetics

According to Franz Bardon we all have this problem:

This involuntary formation of larvae occurs in any human being, young or old, magically trained or not, regardless whether the person knows or ignores it.

Larvae are at the cause of many psychic problems:

The more one returns to the cause of the psychic excitement and the more attention one pays to it, the stronger the larva will become. Any larva that is condensed very strongly will show a great deal of self-preservation instinct and will try to prolong its duration of life as far as possible. For this reason, it stimulates the mind of the given person, trying at every opportunity to draw his attention to the cause of excitement and to revive it constantly. Such a well-fed larva can become fatal to a sensitive or emotional individual, and numerous mental disturbances such as persecution mania and the like are the result of it. Many people are living under the erroneous supposition of being haunted and destroyed by black magicians, whereas they are in fact victims of their own fantasies, or putting it correctly, victims of the larva they have been creating themselves.

Franz Bardon gives some indication of how to control larvae:

Now the magician will realize why such stress has been laid on the importance of introspection, control and mastering of the thoughts at the beginning of the practical part of this work. Supposing he did not get the thoughts under control of his willpower in the course of his development, he would unconsciously create larvae that might become fatal to him sooner or later.

Removing the Larvae with the 7 Power Crystal Set

The experience of myself and others is that possession of a crystal does indeed result in a clearer, calmer mind, and strengthening of will, as well as greater energy levels. With a crystal, even those who lack magical training can successfully remove the larvae from their body, resulting in improved health, energy, and a better life. We do not have to suffer any more.

Reinfection with Larvae is so easy that as well as removing them, the user should always keep the 7 Power Crystal set on their person. The larvae are usually found in the chakra in the navel area. One sign is that you cannot lose weight in that area. To remove the Larva, regularly hold the bases of the Health and Anti-Aging Power Crystals to your stomach, visualising the larvae being shredded. The larvae 'look' dark, but with a golden outline. You may find babies or eggs, which also have to be destroyed. The larvae use a kind of painkiller, so one sign of their removal is the return of feeling in that area, which is not always pleasant, but necessary.

Wormhole: where Larvae come from

The 7 Power Crystal set is brilliant for removing Larvae from your navel and crown chakras, but where do they come from? This is a critical question as it is so easy to get re-infected. We are multidimensional beings whose sovereignty is the billions of universes, but somehow that is not our experience. After much research, we now have the answer. The Larvae get to us via... wormholes! The same wormholes that physicists say maybe used for timetravel.

What do wormholes look like? They are circular, but with rough edges, vaguely like a roughly drilled hole in wood. The entrance to the wormhole is black - no light emanates from it, and it has a foreboding feel about it. I spent a long time studying and researching before entering one of these holes. Just inside the entrance I could see a thin golden stick lying at an angle across, and the floor of the hole was covered in fine golden sand. The sand is actually the seed or spore of the larvae, while the golden stick seems to be a sign to other larvae that the tunnel is inhabited. Clearing out and destroying the spores takes some time - you don't want to be reinfected do you? Here, the importance of having the 7 Power Crystal and 11 Power Crystal sets of crystals is so important.

Having removed and destroyed the spores, it is possible to travel down the wormhole - you don't have to go far, and you will see what looks like a golden locust. This is the adult version of the larvae that was growing in you, and have now been destroyed. It seems that if you have properly cleared out the larvae from you already, the 'locust' (it is far more evil, like the biblical locusts), has no power to harm you, and it appears to be already dead. You can pull the locust out and destroy it. There are so many of these vile insects to remove from the tunnel. If you have the Shamanic Power Crystal, the Power Animals well help you willingly.

Seeing these insects takes a lot of power and energy, so first you have to build your aura with the 7 Power Crystal, and explore with the 11 Power Crystal. There billions of universes, and many orders of magnitude more tunnels, all infected with these insects. First stage is to develop the ability to see the tunnel in the first place. You will find one about 6" to 1' in the aura from the body of an individual. With experience you will find that there is at least one tunnel associated with an objects, so explore!
